Knowing the cost of selling a home, we interviewed multiple agents and had high demands for our real estate agent. During the process we considered using an emerging discount business to sell our home. Kim clearly laid out the options, advised us on why it was a good idea to use the discount seller, and pointed out possible drawbacks. While discount retailers may threaten some agents, the quality agents who know the business will continue to thrive, and Kim deserved every penny we paid and I have no regrets.
Unfortunately, the buyer's agent was not as savvy with the process. Due to several errors on the buying agents part, we risked receiving less than the original offer. Kim masterfully navigated the process and went above and beyond to ensure the sale went through on time and within the scope of the contract by advising the buyer and the buyer's agent as to options.
On the buying side, we bought a more complicated property. Kim was actively involved with every inspection and every seller interaction. She came prepared by performing research that I had not considered, advising us on best case / worst case scenarios, and expertly navigating all of our negotiations. In a hot market, we paid a fair market, but less than asking price because of Kim's negotiation skills.
The seller used a discount service and it was cumbersome and inefficient. The service didn't answer questions, used multiple people to manage the process causing a great deal of confusion on their part (as if the folks inside the company were not communicating with each other).
From beginning to end, Kim is on your side, represents your interests, and handles the tough interactions with ease and grace. I continue to refer her to all of my friends as she completely exceeded our demanding and high expectations for communication, professionalism, and ability.
